Moses Panashe

Chief Executive Officer

Moses is currently a member of the Carey executive team serving as Executive Director, Corporate and has held various leadership roles within the Carey Group since 2016. As CEO, he will have responsibility for the management, leadership and setting the strategic direction for the Carey Group of Companies - Mining, Civil and Training reporting to the Managing Director.
He previously served briefly as regional manager, at Programmed Industrial Maintenance before joining Carey. Prior to that he had spent over 6 years at Rio Tinto Iron Ore based in the Pilbara, serving in a number of site management roles, ultimately as Manager, Project Engineering for the West Pilbara region and a couple of years with Halliburton and KBR in Adelaide prior to Rio Tinto.
He has nearly 20 years’ experience in the resources sector in SA, Qld, WA and Africa, having begun his career as a student engineer at Anglo American Corporation.
Moses has a BEng (Hons) degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Western Australia; and is looking forward to the challenges and opportunities of leading one of Australia's largest privately owned Aboriginal companies.
